Music for 'Libre - Danza desde el confinamento'

Recently I was invited by Peruvian dancer and choreographer Lucía Rua Bustamante to add my music to a video project she has been developing since March, along with 60 artists from several mediums and several countries.

The project consisted in the creation and recording of a sequence of movements by each participant, to then be shared with the next participant who would take from the ending of said movement sequence to create their own sequence. A sort of «cadavre exquis» of bodily expression.

For this video, Lucía asked for the song 'Sonho-me no teu lago', originally released in 'Sorrir' EP, but since it was five minutes of music, and the video length would be fifteen minutes, I decided to take an improvisational approach to it.

While keeping the same electric guitar-only setup, I recorded a new, uncut, extended and improvised version of this track, seeming only natural to keep its roughness, technical slip ups, and also the initial energy of improvising live to the video.

A fun, interesting, collective project I am happy to have been a part of during these strange times.
